World Trail Championships
In six days Kintec Race Team Member Jackie Muir and myself will make the trek across the pond to partake in the IAU World 50 mile Trail Championships. This will be Jackie’s first World Championship and my 6th.
The race takes place Saturday July 9th on the west coast of Ireland in Connemara National Park. Jackie hit her qualifier earlier this spring at the Mount Si 50 miler in Washington State and I hit my qualifier at the same race in 2010.
Jackie will be rockin’ the HOKA Bondi’s over on the course consisting of grass, gravel and a few category 5 climbs. Special thanks to HOKA, New Balance, Smartwool and Kintec for supporting Jackie and her athletic endeavours this season. I’ll be sporting some Canada Red Montrail Mountain Masochists. A special thanks to Kintec for assisting in travel for me and Montrail, Mountain Hardwear, Clif Bar, Nuun and Drymax Socks.
I’ll try to get a few photos posted while in Ireland in the Kintec colors and will certainly give a recap of the race and experience when back on this side of the ocean!
