“Your feedback is valuable to us. Share your comments, good or bad and you will be entered in to win a free pair of shoes www.kintec.net/feedback One draw made quarterly.”

The above is put on every single invoice Kintec issues and we inform our customers to take the time to honestly comment about their experience with us. We pride ourselves in providing our customers with a memorable experience and the feedback we get from our online feedback surveys show us that we are doing a pretty good job at it.

Most of our customers will consider filling it out, and of those customers, some may forget and some may make it a priority. Some fill it out because they truly want to give feedback, and some use it to complain about a specific situation. Some fill it out because they want a chance to win a free pair of shoes. Whatever your reason is for doing it is fine as long as you do it. Feedback is a great way for helping a company improve or a way to acknowledge the great things they did for you. Either way, it is much appreciated.

There was one lucky customer who was picked out of the entire company to receive a free pair of shoes!  He was a customer shopping in the Port Moody location and he was also a run clinic participant. When I contacted Chris about a free pair of shoes he seemed shocked and surprised, but that might have been because my call woke him up in the morning after a night shift. After he realized what I was saying he was excited that he had won. He also agreed to take a photo when he came into the Port Moody store to collect his prize.

Thanks, Chris for being a sport and taking a picture. We appreciate your feedback. And hey, you got a free pair of shoes for taking 2 minutes out of your day to fill out our online feedback form.

Just want to say a “BIG THANKS’ to Laura at the West Broadway location.. She was a great help to me , very informative, I got the feeling she knew what she was talking about. The night splint that I went in to purchase was very helpful to my foot, I can at least get out of bed without any pain !! and that is a great “step in the right direction” if you know what I mean ? She also advised me to bring in my every day walking shoes and get an insert for that shoe as well, which I will do in the very near future.. So thankyou again for being so helpful , I really do appreciate your great service. Oh and also thanks to the young gentleman, sorry didn’t get your name , but you showed me a pair of sandals, that would be better for me to wear.

I absolutely love the staff at the Suter Brook location. I was absolutely devastated with the onset of plantar fasciitis. I’m 50 years old and had been running since I was 14. I walked in there totally floored with the agony of this condition and met the sweetest, most knowlegable staff ever! They were so compassionate and caring about the excruciating pain I was in. They took such good care of me by providing me with a gait analysis, some wonderful custom orthotics, great shoe advice, and superb rehabilitation recommendations. They’re a fabulous team of experts who’ll get you on the road to recovery. Even if you’re not injured, they will set you up with the best shoes for your feet to prevent it!

Thank you to Alex in Port Moody for helping me find the perfect runner. I have been injured for over two years and have had a major surgery to put my foot back together. Alex was kind and very good at listening to my specific needs, helping me make a good choice of runner to fit my foot and injury so I can start to walk again. I walked into the store [ in sandals}with a lot of fear and was pleasantly surprised to find myself with a new pair of runners and many assurances of what I could do if ever I was not happy with my choice. Thanks Alex for your patience and I know I will continue to be a customer as well as pass on the good word. P.S. My phsio sent me here and he is never wrong!

I am just out of my air cast – purchased at kintec/maple ridge and further purchases with an aircast A60, Birk trad blue footbed and superfeet copper dmp and a new pair of NB wmns 880 runners. I was very pleased with the service of my dealings with Maple Ridge store and the next purchase at the Surrey Kintec store – where I dealt with Alex and Robert.

Thank you very much. Service was excellent.

I’ve always had difficultly with shoes because salespeople try to force me into women’s shoes despite my insistence that I wear a Mens 7 EE. I’ve wasted hundreds of dollars on shoes that made the sales person comfortable IE: a “women’s” shoe, becasue I am a woman, not because it fits. I’ve had complex ankle surgery including fusing my ankle so my shoe issues have mutiplied. Today I had the pleasure of dealing with Laura who was able to hear my concerns and limitations and respect the knowledge that I have of them I have. She was very kind, patient and fun and I have a wonderful, great fitting pair of (“mens”)shoes! Thank you!

Chris at the North Van store just fixed my back pain with a Sole Heat Moldable Insole and a pair of Montrail Mns Lithia Slide. After he photographed my walking gait and told me what was happening to my arch, he fitted me with an insole that has made a huge difference. The slippers will maintain the support at home. Not only was it an excellent learning experience, but it is so refreshing to get top quality caring and professional service. Thank you. Dave

Yesterday I purchased three pairs of shoes at the Kintec Langley (Twin Rinks). The shoes were for different purposes, walking, hiking, and general purpose yard work. I was served by Jameson Smith, Manager. I was very impressed with his knowledge about the various shoes and how he took measurements of my feet and how well the shoes fit. He was very caring and concerned that the shoes I chose fit well and were comfortable. He was also a very pleasant person to deal with and one who would encourage you to return in the future. His skill, genuine concern, helpfulness, and pleasantness are noteworthy. Thanks, Jameson.

Just wanted to thank Ruby at the North Van store for being so helpful finding new running shoes for my husband. How to put it delicately…..he has weird feet! They have extremely high insteps which make it a problem finding shoes that are comfortable and also fit him. Ruby suggested the new Hoka shoes which are being recommended by a local chiropractor and other happy wearers. He says it’s like walking on sponges and they also don’t let him pronate which helps his back. Thank you for your help and expertise.

I felt she did a really thorough assesment and spent considerable time with me explaining the possible causes and how I could remedy the problem with custom orthotics and some stretching and strengthing excercises. Thanks Chelsea for you excellent service and I look forward to picking up my orthotics.

It was my cousin, who have been to your shop several times, that told me about your amazing shoes. I have been problems with both my feet and haven’t been able to find any good shoes in Denmark. So we went to visti Kinec in Langley and we was served by Gabrielle, a very sweet and serviceminded person, who new just everything, there is to know about having bad feet and shoes. I bought New Balance Wmns 928 and it felt like heaven to have them on. Walking is no longer a problem for me. Only thing is,I cant buy them in Denmark. Have a nice summer, Helle Ebbesen

I can’t say enough about Kintec and the staff! It’s one of those few stores that you walk into and they just take care of you. We first discovered the store many years ago because my husband is a runner, then I found my own shoes that were best for my feet. In the past 2 years, my 11 yr old daughter found great running shoes and lots of advise and assistance for her long, slim, over-pronating foot. Turns out that being fitted for orthotics was the way to go … her foot no longer feels like it’s ripping when she walks/runs for a while. Now she can concentrate on her sport rather than the possibility of pain. It means the world to us … Thank you!

I had a great experience at Kintec yesterday! At first I was treated professionally by a fellow(don”t remember his name) who was very knowledgeable about my actual foot problem! I decided to go elsewhere to basically price check and see what other brands were out there. I wound up coming back to the Kintec store on McCallum in Abbotsford to try on a pair or two. I was introduced to “Kristina” who was to show me the various shoe types and to get me fitted as best as possible. Again I had very friendly service and she sold me some shoes that will hopefully cure my foot issues. I will recommend this place to any of my fellow postal carriers who rely on good footwear for their delivery jobs. Thankyou Kintec!

I got my first pair of orthotics last June, from the Maple Ridge store. The service was good and I even got a follow up phone call in the summer. I hate to be a complainer and told him that things were pretty good. I failed to tell him that if I wear them for a day my heels hurt quite a bit. My daughter in law Wendy says that if I told him, he probably could have done something to possibly fix it. I do regret that I did not let him know and am hoping that I get another call to see how they are now.
They seem like a real nice staff and are very helpful without being pushy.
    thanks for your service

      Hi Carol,

Thanks for taking the time to write on our blog; the same goes with everyone else who has posted! We really appreciate your feedback. It’s no bother at all, and we need (and want) to hear from you if this aren’t working so that we can assist. There is no magic pill when it comes to this, and while there is real science behind it, a bit of it is also trial and error (like much of medicine).

Hopefully this is the feedback link, although it doesn’t say that. In any case, I appreciated the thorough assessment provided by Philip at the North Vancouver store, and his recommendations that I use my existing shoes with various combinations of the regular insert, no insert and the Kinetic insert and record the effects on comfort and possible changes under these differing conditions to better establish the best way forward.
