Brooks Cascadia 11

Brooks Cascadia 11

The Brooks Cascadia 11 is relatively unchanged from the tried and true Cascadia 10. The outsole still offers rugged, durable traction over wet rocks and roots, with a Ballistic Rock Shield to protect the foot. Brooks’ BioMoGo DNA midsole provides excellent cushioning and a smooth, firm ride. Of course the bonus is that BioMoGo breaks down in a landfill far faster than traditional midsole materials.

Cascadia 11 Features

  • Same outsole and midsole as the Cascadia 10
  • Improved durability
  • Increased protection from rocks and debris
  • Gusseted tongue to reduce movement

The main changes to this version of the Cascadia are noted through the upper. First off, the mesh fabric is more durable around the forefoot. The overlays have moved to address a previous wear issue at the forefoot flex point. The mesh is breathable to ensure moisture control. The other noticeable difference is the gusseted tongue to reduce the tongue from shifting around and to keep the foot in place. It makes for a snug, stable fit.

Cascadia 11

Overall, the Brooks Cascadia is still the same trail shoe we know and love from previous incarnations, with some minor aesthetic tweaks. It is great for gentle to more rugged trails, both running and light hiking. The shoe also accommodates an orthotic very well.

Happy trails!
