Kintec’s Story
Kintec is proud to be celebrating our 25 year anniversary this month. Over the years, we have had the pleasure to help our customers stay active on their feet for life. For those of you who are not familiar with Kintec’s history, founded by CEO Mark McColman, we opened our doors on February 19th, 1991. Our first location was on Broadway in Vancouver, just down the street from our current Vancouver location.

Since then, Kintec has grown from our first location in Vancouver and has expanded to 9 store fronts throughout the Lower Mainland and an online store. We are looking forward to what the future holds.
Lasting Relationships
We recently had the opportunity to reach out to one of our very first and longest standing Kintec customers. Here is what Dave had to say about his experience with Kintec over the past 25 years.
“I believe I first visited Kintec in 1991. Initially, the whole process of getting shoe modifications and inserts was a little confusing. How was this going to relieve my terrible foot pain? Mark, the owner of the store, now CEO of Kintec, helped me thru the process by addressing all of my concerns and answering my questions. He was very reassuring. The first time with my new footwear “system” was literally life changing. That may sound cheesy or exaggerated, but it’s true. Finally something to relieve my foot pain!
Soon after I was able to stand and walk pain free. I was even able to start playing racquetball again. Over the years Kintec has continued to provide me with great foot care. The knowledgeable staff have always been able to address my needs, answer my questions and keep me moving. For anyone seeking solutions to foot care issues I would have no problem in recommending Kintec, and have done so in the past.”
